Italian Vineyard Weddings - Hilltop Baron’s Palace

Description

Get married in a vineyard in Abruzzo...

Once belonging to Baron Perticone, this magnificent palace was built between the 17th and 18th centuries in one of the most beautiful hilltop positions in Italy. Sharing a history that tells the story of wine in Abruzzo, its now the property of the Masciarelli family, producers of fine wines to be found on dining tables around the world. You will be welcomed here on your wedding day thanks to our special arrangement with the family.

  • Church, Civil or Symbolic ceremony at the venue
  • Suitable for groups of 20 to 80.
  • Accommodation for 24 people on site with more in the area.
  • Convenient for Pescara International Airport.
  • Vineyard or Garden ceremony.

Enjoy aperitivi and canapés in the Palace Garden between the grape vines and admire the towering 'Maiella Mother Mountain' and the Gran Sasso peak that feel close enough to touch. Turn 180 degrees to gaze at the blue sea on the horizon.

Dine around a beautifully dressed table in one of the atmospheric wine cellars that still house huge wooden wine casks with taints of the Baron's wine still lingering. These rooms have vaulted ceilings and stone floors - cool and fresh in summer, warm and comforting in cooler months. Or enjoy the opulence of one of the luxurious period rooms upstairs with wonderful views and cosy fires.

Relish a sumptuous Italian meal using fresh local ingredients and great wine from the precious Masciarelli family cellar. Then, after your meal relax and listen to music in the secret walled garden - a magical place lit by fairy lights and the stars.

The unique bridal suite 'Il Granaio' originally the old granary, has a 360 panorama of the surrounding countryside. Indulge yourselves under the stars or in the evening sun in its chic bedroom and living space, with Jacuzzi bath and dining area.

Your guests can relax in beautiful bedrooms where contemporary design complements the ancient architecture and where comfort is uppermost.

This castle is totally unique and breathtakingly beautiful as these photos kindly donated by the Masciarelli family show. Every corner of this antique palace, including the 19th century olive press, has been lovingly restored by craftsmen using original materials bringing it to life once more. But its charm is unpretentious - always a family home and now the symbol of the love of a wine producing family which has dedicated itself to the land here.
