Why Abruzzo for a Destination Wedding?

Abruzzo is great region for an Italian destination wedding.  It has a beautiful Adriatic coastline with natural, clean beaches and lovely Italian seaside towns.  It has a dramatic mountainous interior which can be seen from the beaches and provides a spectacular backdrop.   The area between the sea and the mountains is pretty, hilly and covered in vineyards and olive groves.  It is an important wine producing region with some of the finest wines in Italy.  Also an important environmental region with highest proportion of National Park relative to any region in Europe. A trip into the interior can be like a step back in time to a more romantic rural Italy.

The regional capitol and home of the airport is Pescara.  This is a modern town which has a great beach that comes right into the city centre.  It is full of stylish bars and designer shops.  There are lively beach clubs and restaurants right into the centre giving the town a stylish, relaxed feel.

The food and wine served in Abruzzo is amongst the best in Italy and you can be assured of a superb wedding banquet.

How to get to Abruzzo

Abruzzo is served by a small international airport in Pescara.  It has connections with: London, Brussels, Frankfurt, Munich & Paris.  Pescara Airport

Abruzzo is also easily reachable from Rome.  To get to Pescara is about 2.5 hours by car or there is an excellent coach service which takes the same time.  If it is easier for you to arrive in Rome, Love Italy Weddings can easily and inexpensively arrange the connection.  We can arrange for a coach to collect your group from a hotel in Rome where your group can congregate.  In this way you can enjoy a 2 centre holiday contrasting buzzing Rome with peaceful Abruzzo.
